Friday the 13th - 7.13.07
What an unusually long day. I had to be in Fort Washington at 7:00 am for a Networking Seminar required as part of my membership with LeTip. I prefer not to be up at 6:00 am but I had little influence over the matter. LeTip is my weekly networking meeting to which I serve as group secretary. The group is approximately 20 people and I like everyone - personally and professionally. The focus of the group is to exchange business and there are other side benefits such as becoming a better public speaker.
Next was meeting with a handyman / electrician to finish up some work on behalf of a client at his condominium in Olde City. Ray of D'Ambrosio Electric is a good friend and business associate of my colleague Tom Colligan of Office Pros. I like getting direct referrals to service people but my backup is Angie's List as was the case with the carpet cleaners I was hiring on behalf of another client. I didn't stay with Ray the entire time as this was our second job together and he is an excellent service person.
My last appointment of the day got delayed due to the client's change in schedule. We didn't start weeding all of her old clothes out of the closet until nearly 9:00pm. Between this and some other projects I didn't have my car loaded up until nearly 1:00 am. She is a night owl and I am a morning person but I like to accommodate my clients, especially the regulars.
Well, off to a good night's sleep. ZZZzzzzz.
